A Series of Unfortunate Events

The last week or so was basically chaos.

I went home on Thursday to visit my friend at the hospital, and honestly, I just needed a break from the buzz of college life. However, my plans backfired. While at the hospital Tim Horton's, a man from the rehab center came in totally smashed and spilled his cup of coffee/rum all over my friend and I... Oh, and my laptop! So basically I was a wreck. For one thing, I couldn't do any of my school work because I didn't have a secondary computer to work from, then, I realized that $3,000 might have just been ruined, and then I realized that all my personal files might be lost. It didn't help that there wasn't anyone around to help! So I went home that night feeling just awful, I slept a lot and did what little work I could do offline.

On Monday I returned to Truro, it was actually a nice drive because the trees were white and the fresh snow was mostly untouched. My dad was also pretty good company. I brought my laptop in for a cleanup (as I had discovered that it still worked!) and went home to find out that my budgie had died not long after I had left Sydney. I knew she had been pretty sick but the fact that she died as soon as I left was pretty harsh, along with everything else.

SO THEN!

The people I brought my laptop to were totally dazed. They tried to give me someone else's Macbook and THEN tried to tell me my motherboard was fried (and it was not). THEN they couldn't get the screw out of my headphone jack and after reminding them that I wanted my keyboard cleaned I was finally told that that would take 2-3 days. At this point I was few up and feeling totally behind in schoolwork so I just took my baby home (her name is Shelby, by the way).

Anyways, bad times. It can only get better from here, right?

So last christmas I decided to make personal cards for all my friends.
I have this one friend, Ali, who is OBSESSED with Simon's Cat.
She owns everything to do with it, I swear.

Anyways, I got permission from the creator to use his character and make a card for her.
You know, as long as I don't make profit from it. I love Simon's Cat!

So for one of our life drawing assignments, we were to draw our animation character doing different styles of dance and then draw them in the appropriate outfits.
