Here is a drawing from one of my favorite classes.
It's always fun to draw muscles. I wasn't quite dead on but it's a great learning process.

Mall Drawings (Continuous Movement)
Here are some drawings of some neat characters at the mall.
I especially loved the elderly woman. After I drew her she came over to talk about painting and things she liked to do. Most people run away when they see you drawing them!

Hand Drawings
Here are some studies I did of hands in 2009.
The first three are overlays of the same hands showing skin, muscle, and bone structure.

Finished my final Digital Illustration assignment!
Our assignment was to create an illustration that represented our college experience.
I felt like college for me was fighting to keep up with deadline after deadline.
There was a lot of frustration and sleep problems that made it hard to focus.
Thankfully, I had Kathy (my councilor) to help guide me back to sanity.
The theme here is obviously a pokemon game. Because it was really the only fun thing I did this year.
Also, it's on a Pink DS screen like mine. :3 My hair should look like that after the hair show this weekend, yay!

Business Cards!
I finally designed my logo and business cards!
The template I'm using is from verticalthinking.ca, they rock!
I just got the designs back from their designer, Aaron. I tweaked them a bit but they look pretty sweet!

Character Drawings in Poses & Movement Sequences
We did some poses and sequences with our characters from animation class.
Here are the most interesting of my drawings:

Muscle Studies
How do you get animators to exercise? Bring Life Drawing class to the gym!
Well actually, I missed that class - but luckily my boyfriend is a personal trainer!
I got to watch him workout and get him to tell me the muscles effected by each exercise.
Mmmmm, muscles!

Backgrounds Drawn from Life
One of our life drawing assignments was to spend 1 hour on different buildings in the Old Truro area. I chose to draw two churches in the area. Thank goodness for rulers!
Later, we had 3 hours to draw three different scenes at Victoria Park. One looking up, one looking down, and one level.

Charcoal Renders
So, in one of our recent life drawing classes, we dedicated 3 whole hours to two detailed renders of fabric. It was really fun and a huge learning experience! I think it's pretty obvious that my rendering was MUCH better in the second drawing. This was done on newsprint with charcoal. I usually spent the first 30 minutes for each drawing lightly measuring everything out with pencil before going in and doing the dirty work. Oh yeah, you gotta love those knead-able erasers.
Works in Progress
I was just looking through my art and found a few unfinished pieces with potential! I can't believe I just tossed them aside. Look forward to seeing these done after I finish college. C:
Some web design fun.
So my web design isn't anything AMAZING. But it's decent and I find it really fun!
One of my friends wanted me to create a website to advertise an idea for them. It didn't really go anywhere and now it's just something I have sitting around. Maybe I'll edit it and use it for myself?
Anyone want some web coding?
PS: I found that image for use on some free images domain. I don't really remember what it was now but I'm not actually using it anymore anyways. If someone wants to use this layout I can change the images and colors no problemo.

Traditional Media Paintings
So, if you know me, you'll know I HATE painting. I can't stand not being able to fix my mistakes with "command-z". You know what I mean? Well this year we actually did a couple fun projects with paint. I got to use Egg Tempura for the second time and it's got a really great texture. I love having the ability to set up the shading first then just coating the paint over it! For our final project in Life Drawing last semester, we had to do a painting in the style of a famous artist. I had Van Gogh! It was fun just caking on the layers of paint and inhaling the fumes of paint thinner for hours on end. The painting to this day is a tiny bit sticky still.

Portraits
Here is a quick portrait done in charcoal of my awesome friend Anthony.
In 2009 I also did a quick (30min) black and white self portrait. It was my first time using acrylics.

Animal Drawings
In today's class we had no model AND it was raining.
So what did we do? Watch animal documentaries.
Here are some critters that I sketched, hope you can make them out!
